Senior Learning Technologist
As part of the senior team within Digital Learning & Media at The Christie, I directly line managed two learning technologists and provided support and guidance to junior staff across the rest of the team, including deputising for the Digital Learning Manager when necessary.
I worked on a range of programmes across various projects, working with SMEs and project leads to develop learning objectives, plan learning and produce interactive learning and other media. This role was eclectic and required a flexible skillset and educational and technical expertise.
I led on the maintenance and administration of the Moodle LMS systems in use, providing expert consultancy on the support, capabilities and maintenance of the systems.

Locality Trainer - East & West Midlands and Wales
I delivered face to face training on a range of subjects related to crime, criminal justice and emotional support to staff and volunteers who ranged in age from 18 to 75, typically in groups of 9-24 people.
Subjects included safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, sexual violence, support skills, domestic abuse, criminal justice processes, equality and diversity and working with young people. I also wrote and developed training for face-to-face delivery, and have attended training in e-learning design, in the form of courses in instructional design and Articulate Storyline.
I was selected to undertake a concurrent role of e-learning designer due to my previous background in graphic and web design. I was subsequently involved in developing and testing award-winning national e-learning programmes from specification and first concept, through to upload and go-live.

MA Digital Technologies, Communication and Education (Distinction)
I completed the MA part-time over three years, and was awarded a Distinction based on my grade for both individual modules and my dissertation.
The taught modules have developed my expertise in pedagogy, digital literacies, learning design and multimedia development, and my capacity to conduct research in education.
My dissertation was project-based, and comprised the design, development and evaluation of an online community of practice space for radiologists with an interest in PET/CT scan reporting.
